On June 28 Baltic Balkan Group visited several farms in Northern Latvia and Southern Estonia that are engaged in environmentally friendly entrepreneurship. Farmers grow cattle, sheep, wild horses and multiple kinds of fowls, boast beautiful and well-attended gardens, meadows and fields, gather herbal teas, weave blankets and make herbal sleep pillows.
Viksnas, Maurini, Jaun-ievinas and Alt-Lauri - these eco-friendly farms welcome everyone to become their guest. Their owners will gladly tell about their work as well as introduce the visitors to the households and surroundings and offer them to enjoy a wonderful day in ecologically clean and natural environment.
The visit was organized by Latvian Fund of Nature and the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre.
